Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about The Healthcare Technology and Innovation Fellowship Diploma (EduQual Level 7).
What is The Healthcare Technology and Innovation Fellowship Diploma (EduQual Level 7)?
The Healthcare Technology and Innovation Fellowship Diploma (EduQual Level 7) is a bespoke programme for individuals seeking to acquire hands-on experience and insight into the health technology sector. It combines practical training in digital health product development with expert-led workshops and networking events in London.
What are the costs and payment options for the fellowship?
Fees are set at £1050 (VAT inclusive) for the fully online fellowship and £1860 (VAT inclusive) for the hybrid model. To facilitate affordability, we've partnered with Klarna to offer an option to pay the fee in instalments. A 35% discount is available for students, and bursaries for exceptional candidates. Additionally, NHS trainees may utilise their professional development budget to cover the fees.
How does Klarna work?
Klarna's Pay in 3 / Pay in 30 days are unregulated credit agreements. Borrowing more than you can afford or paying late may negatively impact your financial status and ability to obtain credit. 18+, UK residents only. Subject to status. Ts&Cs and late fees apply.
What networking and mentorship opportunities are available?
Participants will have numerous opportunities to engage with industry experts and peers, including mentorship sessions, collaborative projects, and networking events. Fellowship also grants access to job opportunities and a comprehensive alumni network.
What are the important dates for the 2024 cohorts?
The Spring Cohort runs from 17th April - 5th June (deadline 18th February), the Summer Cohort runs from 10th July - 28th August (deadline 9th June) and the Autumn Cohort runs from 25th September - 13th November (deadline 25th August). Results are released on a rolling basis and applications will close once capacity is met, so we recommend applying early. There will be no other cohorts running in 2024.
Could you outline the programme structure?
Over eight weeks, the fellowship comprises weekly two-hour evening workshops, conducted online, with three key in-person engagements in London. The curriculum is designed to incrementally build knowledge and skills from foundational to complex aspects of healthtech innovation.
Who is eligible to apply for the fellowship?
The fellowship is open to UK residents who can commit to attending scheduled in-person events in Central London, suitable for professionals, academics, and entrepreneurs keen on health technology.
What is the expected time investment?
The fellowship requires a commitment to weekly workshops and additional project work, totalling approximately 4-6 hours per week outside of the workshops, leading up to a capstone presentation on Demo Day.
Are fellows required to attend all in-person events?
Whilst attendance at in-person events is not obligatory, we strongly advocate for it to fully capitalise on the fellowship's learning and networking potential.
How does one apply?
Admission to the fellowship is through a selective application process, taking into account an applicant’s background and potential for contribution to and benefit from the programme. Applications for our 2024 cohorts are now open.
What will participants learn?
The programme covers clinical product management, data analytics to validate hypotheses, Lean Canvas business modelling, product commercialisation strategies, and the application of AI in healthtech, aiming to equip participants with cutting-edge industry knowledge.
