HealthTech Foundations Scholarship

The HealthTech Foundations Scholarship is a free, competitive, four-week remote programme for UK medical students, delivered by BiteLabs in partnership with More Than Medics. No coding or previous technical experience is required.

Application timeline

Applications open on 16 September 2026, close on 5 October 2026, and application outcomes will be issued on 12 October 2026.

Programme format

The scholarship includes four live two-hour workshops, guided capstone project work and access to session recordings. The expected total commitment is approximately 10 to 12 hours.

Four-week curriculum

Week 1, Inspire: What is Digital Health? Week 2, Innovate: From Idea to Solution, including AI, validation, product principles and structured ideation. Week 3, Orient: the UK healthtech ecosystem, including regulation, safety, careers and funding. Week 4, Activate: career pathways, portfolio careers, positioning and capstone completion.

Completion and scholar community

Participants who successfully complete the programme receive a certificate and access to the Scholar WhatsApp group. Top submissions may be considered for Distinction Scholar recognition, one-to-one mentorship, an invitation to a BiteLabs Demo Day and a public LinkedIn feature; these opportunities are selective and not guaranteed.
